After looking and reading over the syllabus, I am very interested in learning about the different types of group differences. I feel that this is one way that I as a future instructor of our younger generations will be able to help council students in these various groups. I feel that we should embrace these different groups and learn different ways as educators to outreach to them.
I am also looking forward to learning about the various different types of assessment that is to follow throughout the course. I have had the opportunity to experience a few of the different assessments that have been administered to me over my tenure in education. I feel that having multiple types of assessment is something that is very worthwhile to the students. Not every student does well with a normal standard test and I feel that evaluating these students in various ways will help them to achieve better grades as well as retain more information as student learners. Since we all have different learning styles, it should be obvious that we would all have a different assessment style that suits us better as students.
There are many different things that I wish to retain from this class. I feel that this class will be a major step in preparing for the Praxis II test. I feel that this class will fully prepare me for this test and help to boost me to my final goal of teaching. I for one am not a good standardized test taker the ACT was not good to me, but I feel that if I have substantial material that covers the Praxis II test that I will be able to accomplish the task of passing. I am also anxious to witness other’s teaching style in the class.  Watching others teach is a wonderful way to get ideas and tips to incorporate into your own lessons and teaching style. As I stated before, I am sure that we as educators will have a teaching style that we are more inclined to lean towards, just as students tend to learn with a different style. I feel that all of these things will help me to be successful in passing the Praxis II test.

I feel that this class will help in my future profession in a lot of ways. Learning about group differences, will help to define the different dynamics that are probable to be in a classroom. Not only will being knowledgeable about group differences be helpful for   The Praxis II test, but it will also to help maintain an open learning environment. Another way that I feel that this class is going to help me with my future is by showing me different teaching styles and techniques that I can incorporate in my lessons in the future. This will not only be beneficial to me myself, but also my students because with various teaching styles and techniques incorporated into a lesson or even a week can help to reach more students. This class will also help me to hopefully pass the Praxis II test that is required in order to become a certified teacher. With the knowledge that I will gain from this class, I will be better prepared for the everyday task of teaching our future generations. I also feel that this class will give me insight as to how to properly assess students more than one way and I will be able to use multiple types of assessment in order to teach my students the material they need in order to retain the most information.
